VT-GTB(0)M(T) Contactless Digital Control Power-Off Magnetic Retention Device

Case Details

The VT-GTB(0)M(T) contactless power-off magnetic retention control device employs a set of three-phase fully controlled thyristor power modules to convert the 380V AC, 50Hz three-phase voltage into a DC voltage, providing forward excitation current to the lifting electromagnet. At the same time, this same module feeds the residual energy from the electromagnet back into the power grid after the material has been released. Another set of two-phase fully controlled thyristor power modules converts the 380V AC, 50Hz three-phase voltage into a DC voltage, supplying reverse demagnetizing current to the lifting electromagnet. The system’s operational status, timing sequence, and logical control are all managed by a microcontroller-based digital controller. During material lifting, if a power outage, phase failure, or fault occurs in the main rectifier section, the power detector automatically releases the main power supply, enabling the backup power source to instantly energize the electromagnet. Simultaneously, the device triggers an audible and visual alarm, alerting the user to promptly lower the lifted material within the battery’s magnetic retention time, thereby ensuring safety. The device’s charging section is equipped with a fully automatic charging unit that seamlessly switches between constant-current and float-charging modes, automatically detects overvoltage and overcurrent conditions, and precisely controls the charging process. In the event of a power outage, phase failure, or fault in the main rectifier section, the backup power source automatically engages. At the same time, the indicator light inside the meter box signaling the activation of the backup power source illuminates, and an audible and visual alarm is triggered. Users can then utilize the backup power source to safely lower the suspended steel billets or ingots—by operating the crane’s lifting brake—to the ground, thus securely releasing the heavy load.

Main technical features

1. There are three working modes.

(1). Constant-voltage power-off magnetic retention operating mode: Outputs DC 220V with magnetic retention during power failure;

(2). Magnetic Field Adjustment, Power-Off Retention Mode: Output DC 0V–DC 220V adjustable with power-off retention function;

(3). Contactless method;

Class group code: G stands for cabinet-type structure.
